Our business has many different requirements. The majority of our roles require a 2.1 but a 2.2 may be considered for some Engineering roles. The Business Management and Finance Graduate Programmes require a minimum of a 2.1.

We try to respond within a week of receiving your application. It can then take anything between one and three weeks before we decide whether we wish you to attend an assessment centre.
After submitting your application form, subject to a successful screening process, we will invite you to complete an online aptitude and strength test before inviting you to an assessment centre at one of our locations.
At the assessment centre, you will meet a number of managers within the business area you are being considered for and be given an overview of the company. Assessments will include a group exercise, written exercise, presentation, interview and aptitude tests. There will be opportunities throughout the day to ask questions about our graduate programme and what it’s like to work for Thales UK. Over lunch, there may be the chance to meet some of our graduates.
Our graduate programmes begin in October but start dates can be flexible prior to this in discussion with the Line Manager.
For Engineering, you will need to apply for a particular role, such as Systems Engineer, but there will be an opportunity to express your specific interests during the application process and we will strive to match you with your preferred area.
Locations vary across the whole of the UK depending on business requirements but may include Belfast, Glasgow, Doncaster, Manchester, Crawley, Templecombe, London, Reading, Bristol, Long Crendon, Birmingham and Basingstoke.
You can re-apply and we will consider your application on its own merits taking into account why you were rejected. However, you would only be considered for the following year’s graduate programme.
You can, but depending on your work experience, you may be offered a different entry point into the company. This programme will not be suitable for those who have previously completed a formal graduate programme with an employer and we will not accept applications in such circumstances.
Yes, however applicants should ensure that they meet the requirements for security clearance before applying.
Applications are considered on an individual basis. Generally, engineering vacancies tend to be specific in their requirements and while we will consider any degree discipline for the Business Management Programme, students must have a numerical or finance-related degree for the Finance Programme.
Our salaries are extremely competitive. Salaries vary between £25,500 and £27,000 dependent on programme.
